Our Story

SQL Insight Solutions exists because of a simple observation: businesses running SQL Server have two bad options. Hire a full-time DBA they probably can't afford, or call a consultant when something breaks and hope they're available.

We built a third option. Our AIDA platform runs rule-based checks on SQL Server environments. Today, Jason runs each monthly review by hand. Continuous monitoring returns when AIDA Monitor is live. When something needs human judgment, a DBA with 20+ years of experience responds directly.

The result is managed database services that combine the consistency of automation with the expertise of a senior DBA — at a fraction of the cost of either option alone.

Based in Australia, we work with businesses across the country. Remote-first from day one, our platform and processes are designed to manage SQL Server environments wherever they run — on-premises, in Azure, on AWS, or hybrid.

Jason Atkins founded SQL Insight Solutions and is the DBA behind it. He has 20 years of hands-on SQL Server experience across financial services, healthcare, mining and government, and holds the Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate certification.

Jason built AIDA because he kept finding the same preventable problems in new client environments: the diagnostic that would have caught an issue six months earlier, the backup that was never tested, the index nobody maintained. AIDA runs the rule-based checks. Jason does the reviewing and the advice.
