AIDA Monitor is paused. A monthly health review by a senior DBA is available now. Price: $795 per month for 1–2 instances and $1,295 per month for 3–5 (AUD, ex GST). Terms: 3-month minimum term, then month to month with 30 days’ notice.
Monthly health review
A senior DBA reviews your SQL Server every month, writes up what needs attention, and tells you what to fix.
- A named senior DBA. Jason Atkins, with 20 years of hands-on SQL Server experience. Jason runs every review himself.
- A monthly written review. A plain-English report on backups, waits, security configuration and capacity, with a prioritised fix list.
- Fixes Jason can action. The report says what to do. Jason does the work the client approves, quoted separately.

Who it is for
Owners of one to five SQL Server instances who want a senior DBA to review their environment every month and tell them what to fix. Six or more instances by quote. Not for teams who need someone on call.
What is included each month
- A read-only review of each covered instance.
- Backup review: last full and differential backups per database, and the state of restore testing.
- Wait statistics and top resource review, with the top waits named and explained.
- Security configuration review against the Diagnostic checks.
- Capacity trend note: file growth and disk headroom since last month.
- A written report in plain English, with a prioritised fix list. Each finding names the server, the risk and the recommended action.
What is not included
- 24/7 monitoring, alerting or on-call response.
- Any response-time commitment. Emergency support is best efforts (see below).
- Automated remediation or continuous checks between reviews.
- Fixes, tuning, migrations or upgrades. Quoted separately when the report recommends them, at $150/hr ex GST.
Emergency support
Best efforts, no guaranteed response time. Rates and minimums are as published:
- Business hours: $250/hr ex GST, 2-hour minimum.
- After hours or urgent: $350/hr ex GST, 2-hour minimum.
- Weekends and public holidays: $350/hr ex GST, 4-hour minimum.
Business hours means 9am to 5pm Sydney time (AEST or AEDT, as applies), Monday to Friday, excluding NSW public holidays. After hours means any time outside business hours on a weekday.

What's included in "instances"?
An instance refers to a SQL Server installation — whether standalone,
clustered, or an Always On Availability Group primary replica.
Secondary replicas and test/dev instances are counted separately.
Can I change tiers?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade with 30 days notice.
We'll pro-rate any changes to ensure fair billing.
What about emergency support?
